A Perfect & Beautiful Death...

A Perfect & Beautiful Death...

I saw these flowers this morning and my heart said 'a perfect & beautiful death'...

That moment when you surrender your own will, your own selfish desires, and your own objectives (aka: your fleshly desires) - for His will, His desires, and His objectives (aka: for eternal desires).

This is the perfect death in which true beauty arises.

One that we live over and over when we desire to be transformed more into His image every day.

These flowers are beautiful even in their death, and the heart of them is fresh, healthy, and alive.

It is only our 'flesh' that needs to 'die daily' so that our spirits can grow, be transformed, changed, and strengthened for the greater things that God is preparing us for.

It's not about 'us', but about 'Him'...

Job 21:23 “One man dies in his full vigor, completely secure and prosperous, 24 his body well nourished, and the marrow of his bones moist."

2 Corinthians 15:15 "And he died for all so that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised."

1 Corinthians 15:31 "[I assure you] by the pride which I have in you in Christ Jesus our Lord, that I die daily [I face death every day and die to self]."

Romans 14:8 "If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or we die, we belong to the Lord."
